Listening to His Voice
Just being with my grand baby, Kamryn, brings me joy. She is one of the best gifts the good Lord has ever given me.
Kamryn was in my arms the other day, and every time I spoke, she turned her head and pressed her ear up to my lips. Even as I spoke to other family members, she tuned in to what I had to say. It did my heart good to discover she was so attentive to the sound of my voice.
I was later contemplating Kamryn’s reaction when the Holy Spirit reminded me that this is the way He wants me to be with Him. What a beautiful picture. I rest in His arms, and whenever He speaks, I turn my head and press my ear to His lips, waiting to hear the loving timbre of His voice. Oh, the pleasure He feels at the attentive way I listen to His voice.

Amen Jan! Well said. May we hear the LORD's voice every time He speaks.
Enjoy your beautiful grandbaby.
Love ya.
What a beautiful illustration.
And grandchildren are truly a gift from God!
Hugs.
That was a wonderful illustration of God's desire for us to hear Him.
How sweet!
Totally beautiful. One of the greatest gifts from God are grandchildren because they teach us sooooooooo much about His love for us. "From the mouths of children" come the lessons of God.
Look at the sweetest grandbaby... You are blessed indeed. She's precious, and you're the perfect doting grandma. :-)
Grandbabies are such a blessing!
That's about the sweetest comparison ever. :) To be able to feel the rumble of His chest when He speaks, to listen to his heart being so close. Mmm.
That's a blessing to read about!! I love the scenario. Thanks for sharing!! Blessings to you and your family!!
What a beautiful image--resting in the arms of God and pressing our ears to His lips. I hope I never forget this.
What a blessing to have such a sweet grandbaby, Jan! Thank you for sharing the blessing through your post and the comparison to our listening to the Holy Spirit. That is so lovely!
