Praying for a Miracle

Heavenly Father, we boldly come before your throne to ask for a miracle. We ask not because we have earned it, but because we are your children, heirs to your kingdom. While we do not understand the circumstances we find ourselves in, we continually look to you for our sustenance and provision.

Since you own the cattle on a thousand hills, meeting our bills this month is not too great for you. You can pull a home out of foreclosure at the eleventh hour and at the same time supply a car for another family in need. You inspire your people to leave groceries on a struggling family’s porch or anonymously mail them gift cards. We believe that you can provide clients and favor at work in spite of a lagging economy. Nothing is overwhelming or impossible for you. Nothing.

Bring peace and comfort to those who are out of work. Open doors that only you can open, so that your name will be glorified.

Help us to be strong and courageous. Keep us from fear and doubt. Thank you that you go before us to pave the way and thank you that you will never leave us or forsake us. We thank you for the miracles you are about to perform and for the ones you have already performed.

In Your Holy Name,
Amen

“No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Joshua 1:5 (NIV)

May the Lord be with all those who are hurting and supply all our needs in ways we would be amazed.

Amen and again amen.

Thank you for praying for those in need. There are many. And I trust God hears and answers with His perfectly timed miracle.

Appreciate your Sweet P's each week.

Hope you got my voice mail I left you after you called me.

Have a blessed weekend! Lots going on here. My anniversary. Justin's first football game of his senior year. Taking senior pics for 4 boys, mine included. And a late birthday gathering for Grandma. Maybe the Balloon Classic. :)

Hi Jan,

Thanks so much for praying for many needs. I stand in agreement with you seeking our Lord to open doors and give favor to local businesses, those seeking employment and those needing a miracle.

God is able to do exceedingly above all that we ask.

Blessings and peace.

I read an article yesterday by Dr. Ray Pritchard. He said something about trusting God, that really struck me.

"You discover your theology at midnight. Until then, it's all theoretical. When midnight comes, you discover the difference between theory and reality." He went on to say, "Anyone can sing "Shout to the Lord" when life is good, you've got money in the bank, your marriage is strong, your kids are doing well, you're happy in your job, you love your church, and all is right with the world. If with Paul and Silas you can sing praise to God at midnight..., then what you've got is real"

Praying as you rest in God's perfect plan and timing and trust Him during this difficult time. He does meet our needs...He can be trusted!!

Praying the same prayer for those in need. This is definitely a time when many are in the same boat and needing God's miracles. Thank you for posting this, Jan.

Maybe your prayers for a miracle are in the area of finances. If so, I was struck by this short, well-written devo today that talks about giving God our "first fruits" offering.

I've been thinking and blogging about the Feasts of the Lord lately (e.g. Passover, Firstfruits, Yom Kippur). Today it struck me that one of God's blessings in our lives comes when we sow in faith--our tithes--for the advancement of God's kingdom, first. (Matt 6:33: Seek ye first... and all these things will be added...) I need to do much more in this area!

Trusting your miracle--whatever the need--will occur shortly.

Blessings,

Several years ago my wife and I came to the US after completing our term as missionaries. We were broke and unemployed (I found out to my sorrow that no school district wants to hire an experienced 44-year-old math and physics teacher when they can get someone right out of college for half the price). To top it off, my wife was pregnant with our first child.

God answered our prayers and gave me work as a college teacher. It took four years before He answered, but answer He did.

It sounds trite, but God will fight for you. He will fight for you on His timetable, which is not ours. If nothing else, I learned a lot of patience in the last four years, which I really need in my present job.

Amen to MIRACLES in Jesus' name.
Undeserving we come with expectant hearts joined together for the many needs and surrender our will to His!
He is Mighty! Nothing is too great!
