President Barak Obama confirms that Anti-American terrorist, Usama Bin Laden, is dead. Geraldo Rivera delivered breaking around 9:24pm (MST) Sunday night. Geraldo gleefully clapped as he jubilantly delivered this news.
Although I understand Geraldo’s feelings, I cannot rejoice in anyone's demise, no matter how evil the man. Justice has been served in the death of Bin Laden; I am relieved, but I will not rejoice. This military operation demonstrates that America is a force to be reckoned with.
In his address to the nation, President Obama recognized the victims of 9-11, the unity of our country and the power of our military. America has never forgotten 9-11 and we never will. Bin Laden’s death will not ease our pain nor bring back the thousands of murdered fathers, brothers, sisters, sons and husbands.
Sympathetic terrorist cells worldwide will likely metastasize as they burn with revenge at the loss of their leader. America is on high alert.
Join me in prayer for our military overseas. Each and every member of our military is a hero. God bless our military for the sacrifices they make daily to ensure our safety and freedom. God bless the families who lost loved ones on 9-11, may they find comfort in the justice that was served last night.
Join me in praying for our country, our great state of Colorado, the city of Denver, and our military on the National Day of Prayer.

I'm glad to be the first one to comment on this version. I think we can be sad that Osama chose to rebel against God to the point that the only resolution was death. It's always sad when a soul is lost. But, that said, I am glad he is removed from this earth. He not only attacked the United States unprovoked, but was still the head of Al Qaeda and active in leading terrorism. Cutting off the head will weaken the terrorists. Justice is done.
I've read mostly positive opinions on his "end". But have read a few from people who dislike the fact he was killed, they felt like he should have been captured and tried---although he stated he would not be captured alive.
Osama bin Laden died the way he lived. He lived a life of violence, hatred, destruction. He chose this life. He really chose his own death.
We are relieved because he is gone from this earth, yet we know there will always be another evil person to contend with.
In my dad's generation it was Hitler's death that brought relief. In our generation it was bin Laden's death that brings us relief.
Well said Denise and Anette. Death is sobering - especially the death of a person who is unrepentant.
Sadly, we know that there will always be someone someone evil to replace him.
Hi Boldnfree. I love your new site and I've added you to my blogroll. I see you visited my blog. Will you consider joining mine, too?
Re: Osama. Jesus said, "those who live by the sword will also die by the sword." I'm sorry this man now has no more chances to repent and turn to Jesus. But, another threat to us has been removed.
